Surgical periodontal therapy – root resection case

Before An extensive bony defect exists at the distal aspect of the lower first molar. This tooth still had a poor prognosis despite conventional periodontal and endodontic therapy. After A root resection procedure has been performed on the distal root of the lower first molar, allowing the tooth to remain in function without extensive dental treatment.
